Using careful thought and precision, Suzy Wahl creates an artful assemblage of encaustic monotypes. Using a warmed glass plate, she draws her composition with the use of colored wax. With satisfaction, she presses strong paper onto its waxen surface to reveal a mirror image of her mind's intention. Creating pieces of art with unique, compelling personality.

Dark maroon is pleasantly acquainted with a mustard yellow in this work by Suzy Wahl. As the maroon plane travels towards her horizon line, blushes of gray blue slowly seep through, greeting the multi-colored border of teal, black, white and orange below. A soft, quiet and soothing composition, Wahl creates a work to adorn any space.
